‘Does an Angel?’
I sit and wait
Does an angel contemplate my fate
And do they know
The places where we go
When we’re grey and old
‘cos I have been told
That salvation lets their wings unfold
So when I’m lying in my bed
Thoughts running through my head
And I feel that love is dead
I’m loving angels instead
Inspired by my walks in cemeteries… I have painted a series of haunting pictures which communicate remembrance, love and sadness.
I love to capture antique stonework, crumbling marble, overgrowth and the melancholy feeling of history. It is important to respect our past and look back as well as forward.
